In the recruiting industry, the most important step is to identify ideal candidate for a given job description. Majority of the products in market uses string comparison and scoring. This technique has some disadvantages on expecting exact words in resumes as that of job description to be scored. Additionally, challenges are posed from understanding the resumes and the job description that are of unstructured free form text and of varied structures. Although, there are multiple products out in market to solve this challenge, they are not so effective and meets the need of the industry fully.
Our product development members took these challenges as problem statement as a Data Scientist for a software giant, architecture and developed the product “Resume Ranker” incorporating artificial intelligence techniques and solved the challenges in understanding the resumes and job description and identify the best matching candidates.
The architecture and core components of the product “Resume Ranker” that our members developed employing Artificial Intelligence techniques to find the best matching resume and rank it for a given job description. This product has a core ‘Language Intelligence Engine’ that analyzes resumes and job descriptions making the matching process more optimum and efficient. In addition, Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques are incorporated to this engine to identify the best matching resumes and rank them for the given job description.
